Afterward, the torrential rains arrived in Oklahoma and spent the past two days beating every living plant and flower into the ground. I'm glad I cut the first peony of the season and brought it inside to enjoy.
It's been a long time since I've seen so much water.
Included in this was about two inches in the corner of my den that Hubby was trying to get up with the wet-vac about 1 a.m. this morning.
It's never a dull moment at our house.

The rain around here is always feast or famine, isn't it? :)

You are so lucky; I can't even get peonies to grow, much less bloom! We've had quite a bit of rain here in Texas, too.

What a gorgeous flower you have there! See you Sunday. Miss you, Mel

Uh-oh. Sounds like what we've had happen around here that caused all the remodeling to ensue. I know my neighbors sometimes have water seep in too. Guess it's just natures way of intruding on your peace and quiet.
