- 2 ¼ cups water
- ¼ cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 2 tablespoons active dry yeast
- 6 ½ cups four, sifted
- 1 ¾ cups dry milk powder
- ¼ cup shortening, melted
- Mix water, sugar, salt and yeast together.
- Pour the mixture over dry ingredients and shortening which have been placed in an extra large bowl. Mix combined ingredients about 9 minutes on medium speed, or until dough leaves sides of the bowl.
- Shape 2 ounce pieces into 25 rolls. Brush the tops with more melted shortening.
- Cover and let rise in warm place until increased two or three times.
- Bake at 400 degrees for 12 to 14 minutes.
